foolish fire

IlloFriday-Metropolitan

A digital painting from a photo I made of a Russian women descending into the Moscow metro in 2002. Couldn’t help but be conscious of the current suffering in London while making this. Moscow too, has been wracked with acts of pseudo-religious/political violence in recent years. It breaks my heart. So much pain in the world.

Breath taking painting…keep thinking it’s a photo. Yes, it’s terrible…acts of violence and needless wars. Peace

At first glance, I thought it was a photo too. Excellently done.
    Peace to you.

Truly amazing. It looks like it was a mural, painted inside a tube station almost. Very well made!

Fantastic work, beautifully composed - reminds me a lot of the work of one my favourite ( Australian) artists Jeffrey Smart…also a touch of Edward Hopper. A great painting

I really, really like this - it’s almost a snapshot from my mind. Love the textural quality :)

Beautiful. I love the thick paint texture on the wall.
